Part 1: Forms without Golden Ratio Proportions
Masterclass Summary
Focusing on drawing the Catalan Solids that do not contain golden ratio proportions, the forms drawn in this course will be from different orthographic perspectives primarily 2 and 3-fold symmetry. Drawings of each form will illustrate face, edge, or vertex perspectives of the forms. These solids are the duals of the Archimedean solids and have faces that are not regular polygons.
Part 1 will consist of 20+ drawings of 6 of the 7 non-golden ratio forms. The pentagonal icositetrahedron which is dual of the Snub Cube will not have a drawing unless I discover an approximation between now and the course :) as it has been proven to not be drawable with compass and straight edge techniques.
The nets for the forms will be provided so you can construction the forms and study them as we do the drawings from multiple perspectives . Drawing the Catalan Solids is a great follow up to the Archimedean Solids series as it continue to deepen your understanding of the pattern language of Sacred geometry while mastering Knew Geometry's creative discovery process, methods, and techniques used to draw these enchantingly beautiful forms.

MASTERCLASS focus
Part 1 of The Catalan Solids has a range of drawings that are suitable for intermediate and advanced geometers. However, a beginner with some prior drawing experience can get started with Part 1 and continue on to Part 2. If you've never participated in a Knew Geometry 1-1 or apprenticeship please contact to discuss if this course it an appropriate starting place. This will certainly be a rewarding experience, as drawing the Catalan Solids from multiple perspectives is an incredible accomplishment along your Knew journey of discovery!
